Can you save email addresses into the contacts and email directly from the scanner or do you have to use a computer in order to email the scans?

You can save email addresses into the contacts & email from the scanner or you may enter an individual email address to send the scan to. You don't need a computer to email scans. 
Typically I scan docs to my server and then attach them to emails so that I can send comments along.  You can enter comments from the scanner but I find it easier using the keyboard on the computer vs the touch screen qwerty keyboard.

I know that this isn't part of the question, but we have been very happy with this device. It scans on both sides almost as fast as you can put pages into the document feeder.

Does this scanner have a full keyboard to name your file before you save it?

I know this is an answer to a really old question but for potential new purchases I wanted to point out that not only can you use the onscreen keyboard to name your file (if your job is setup that way) but you can also plug in a USB keyboard and/or mouse and use them for naming/interacting with files.
