Pros: Solid RAM once updated to latest build. Gskill VERY responsive in helping us get the RAM updated.
Cons: We had to send the RAM back to GSkill in order to have it updated to the latest. It was incompatible with the ASUS m2NPV-VM board as we bought it.
The board was pretty picky, but GSkill was very responsive and able to update it for us.
Pros: This RAM is a beast. The stock/default timings are good (4-4-4-12), but it's capable of better depending on the speed in which you're running it. Mine is running 3-3-3-10 @ 700MHz. Not bad for my MBoard that only supports 667 DDR2! Just ordered my second stick.
Cons: MBoard doesn't always detect correct speed - IE you MUST manually set the speed for best performace. Not really RAM's fault since it clocks really well.
Overall Review: I've seen this RAM go over 1,000MHz with a minimal voltage increase (2.2v) and timings of 4-4-4-12.
Pros: great product and performance for the price
Cons: again, defaulted to pc2 5300 in bios with ASUS P5WD2-E Premium MB
Overall Review: my system: Asus P5WD2-E premium, Pentium D 950, ATI X1900XTX, 1gb G.SKILL DDR2 800 Ram, 7200RPM 16mb cache 250gb SATA 300 HD
Pros: Great RAM for Overclocking and gaming
Cons: went up $15 from what i recently purchased it at
Overall Review: Will be purchasing another stick. Works great!
Pros: Great RAM, awesome for overclocking. Good stuff for gaming
Cons: price went up $15 shortly after i bought my first stick
Overall Review: Will probably order a 2nd gig of this soon
Pros: Was great, nothing more I can say... Perfect.
Cons: Now its $15 more than when I purchased and I planned on buying more..
Pros: Worls greate with DFI LanParty 590. Greate O.C. Stable.
Overall Review: Black matches my DFI board, XFX 7900GS Extreme, S.B. X-FI. LOL
Pros: I upgraded from Corsair XMS PC3200 Cas2 and I find this ram to be a little more responsive then that, at stock speeds its slightly more responsive but it can overclock better then DDR can which makes it worth upgradeing to overall even if the cas latencys are a little higher
Cons: The prices are a little steep, these used to cost one hundred twenty before the conroe launch then all ddr2 became really expensive... sadly i could only afford 1 stick for now but ill be picking up another when i have more money or if prices ever drop.
Overall Review: it can overclock to DDR2 1000 easily, anandtech ran some test on it alongside other DDR2 1000 sticks however and its the slowest of the bunch when its at DDR2 1000 but its far less expensive then those sticks that come defaulted at DDR2 1000
