    * Requires overclocking/BIOS adjustments. Maximum speed and performance depends on system components, including motherboard and CPU.

Designed for compatible AMD platforms, Trident Z5 Neo RGB is engineered for high memory performance with customizable RGB lighting, making it the ideal choice to build a performance PC system.

    • Sleek and streamlined design, available in matte black or matte white
    • Customizable RGB lighting support
    • AMD EXPO™ Memory Overclock Profile Support
    • Do not mix memory kits. Memory kits are sold in matched kits that are designed to run together as a set. Mixing memory kits will result in stability issues or system failure.
    • Prior to enabling AMD EXPO, memory kits will boot at the SPD speed at default BIOS settings with compatible hardware.
    • For memory kits with AMD EXPO, enable EXPO profile in BIOS to reach up to the rated potential EXPO overclock speed of the memory kit, subject to the use of compatible hardware. Enabling AMD EXPO is an act of overclocking and requires BIOS setting adjustments.
    • Reaching the rated AMD EXPO overclock speed and system stability will depend on the compatibility and capability of the motherboard and CPU used.
    • Usage in any manner inconsistent with manufacturer specifications, warnings, designs, or recommendations will result in lower speeds, system instability, or damage to the system or its components.

Refer to the G.SKILL memory kit QVL on the G.SKILL website to check motherboard compatibility.

The G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo is a 48GB (2 x 24GB) DDR5-6400 dual-channel desktop memory kit with CL32 timings and AMD EXPO support, suited to gaming and enthusiast PCs optimized for AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors or later.

    Recommended For

    • AM5 gaming builders who want 48GB for current games plus background apps, streaming tools, or browser tabs, and are prepared to enable AMD EXPO in BIOS.
    • AM5 users who run memory-heavy creative or technical applications—such as video editing, virtual machines, or several demanding programs at once—and want more capacity than a typical 32GB kit without moving to a larger kit.
    • Builders creating a white-themed AM5 desktop who want white, customizable RGB memory and a matched two-module kit.
    • Ryzen builders who want to try DDR5-6400 and are willing to check motherboard and CPU compatibility, update BIOS if needed, and adjust memory settings if the EXPO profile is not stable.

    Real-World Use Scenarios

    • When gaming with a browser, voice chat, or recording software open, the 48GB kit provides memory headroom for running those apps alongside the game. It does not guarantee higher frame rates; gaming results depend on the rest of the system and the game.
    • When editing photos or video while keeping project files, preview windows, and other applications open, 48GB can provide more room for concurrent work than a smaller memory capacity. The benefit depends on the size of the project and the software being used.
    • When running several memory-using tasks at once—such as development tools, containers, or a few virtual machines—the 48GB capacity offers room to allocate memory across workloads. The number of workloads it can handle depends on their individual memory needs.
    • When building an AMD Ryzen desktop, users can enable the kit’s EXPO profile in BIOS to target its rated memory settings. The system may instead run at a lower default speed, and reaching the rated profile depends on CPU and motherboard compatibility and stability.
