Newegg added more detail than needed. It is standard ddr3. Nothing different about it to limit chipset compatibility. Just verify speed and type compatibility with your motherboard.

Yes.  It's working with my Asus Z97-A motherboard.  I would check your motherboard maker's website to confirm it will work with your MB.  The Asus website didn't specifically list this RAM for the Z97-A motherboard, but the GSkill website does. Look on the QVL tab on the GSkill wesbsite to find your motherboard.

Can anyone tell me if this memory will fit under the first slot that the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus overhangs? I know that the Ripjaws X won't because I just bought some and noticed the immense size of the heatsink.
