Question 1

Is this kit compatible with Asus P9X79 PRO MB?
I have read quite a lot reviews reporting the success on RAV4 MB, but it seems that things may also go wrong for other types of MB according to the reviews...

Your MOBO manufacturer tech people should answer your question for compatibility.

I have these Ripjaws installed on my EVGA X79 Dark MOBO (P/N: 150-SE-E789-KR) and have had no problems at all since day one.  I have their fans blowing continuously on them to keep cool as well as two additional 120mm fans.

EVGA recommended these Ripjaws along with some other different manufacturers.

Question 2

I just install this in a ASUS Rampage IV Black Edition and system came up with on 48GB. Looking in setup I notice that A1 and A2 were flagged with errors and A2 was being seen at 6M verses 1833M. So I swapped A2 and A1 and the issue moved to A1 slot. Should I try moving the bad one to B, C or D to make sure it follows the stick to another channel, or is this a sign that I already found a bad stick? Can I exchange just 1 stick or do I have to exchange the kit?

I think you should be sure it is the stick and not the mb maybe try fewer sticks or just the potentially bad one. I know mbs sometimes can have trouble with voltages when all of the dimms are filled. My mb (Big Bang XPower II) still won't boot with all 8 dimms and set to 2400 or XMP (I have to set to 2133). I am sure you would have to exchange the whole kit since they are matched.

Will this work with my motherboard? I want to get an ASUS P9X79 WS LGA 2011 Intel X79 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 SSI CEB Intel Motherboard with USB BIOS. Thanks!

It should work fine, but a caveat is that it is not on their QVL at ASUS website. Depending on your CPU cooling you may not be able to use the included fans or may have some issues with clearance above the ram sticks if you have a large cpu cooler. Getting 2400 on all 8 sticks is may be tough to do but I get 2133 no problem with all 8 installed in MSI Big Bang II, and I never really bothered to try to get 2400 to work after it didn't initially.

Hopefully you made sure the memory voltage and the oicco voltages where set rite before you did the memory test. I use this memory in my X79 Black and I had to bump my oicco voltage up 0.015 and dim v. to 1.7 to get it to post. memory been stable ever since and load tested great. each board is deferent but I learned long time ago not to allways trust the readings in your bios. Your volt meter will be your best friend when running OC hardware. Double check your voltages before you determine bad memory. What CPU are you using for this 2400mhz memory? I use a i7-4960X. some of the i7-3xxx series cpu's don't run this high of memory very well. If you  do have one bad stick of memory you will have to RMA all that where in the single package contents. All 8 in this package. Keep in mind you may not get brand new memory in your exchange. It may be and most likely will be refurbished memory.
