Answer: About 42mm tall +/- 2mm.

If your mobo doesn't recognize it as XMP-compatible you should have no issue setting the timings manually to match the ratings here, but there are G.Skill units that are XMP-ready if you want to be 100% sure. XMP/EXPO are basically just Intel/AMD presets to set the numbers for you for convenience.
