Haven't seen it posted anywhere but they are air flow to the best of my knowledge. Very quiet and move decent amounts of air. You can control the 3 speeds with the remote. Colors are nice and crisp with plenty of rgb effects and 8 or 10 brightness levels. Hope that helps

what is the cfm of these fans?

Not sure I'm running i7 and 1070 ti stable temp is 70c to 73c on gpu. Stock CPU cooler

is there any way to connect the controller to the motherboard or additional connectors to do so? Id prefer to control the RGB from my computer but it is only controlled by the remote.

Yes a three pin rgb connector. It connects from the fan hub.
