Question 1

How long has this mouse lasted you? Is the wheel slippery? My current mouse wheel can get slippery and cause me to mess up during gaming (e.g., causing me to switch to weapon 3 instead of 2 from 1, if that makes sense.)
Also, does it look awesome when set to blue? ha ha

I've had the mouse for just over a year without any issues.  Functions like new.  I've moved a couple times and yanked the cord while moving the PC for cleaning, feels fine still.  The wheel is not the smooth\slippy type but rather has fairly fine digital increments and has a flatter, rectangular feel to the touch as opposed to a narrow, pointier curve.  Weapon switch should be no problem.  I'll take a picture of it in blue when I get home, can't say I've ever set it to that but generally the lighting on the mousewheel is so nice it bums me out that the logo is always yellow.  IMHO you won't find a better mouse for the price.

Where are the 6 customization buttons on the mouse on the picture i cant seem to find them? also is there a back and forward button?

The 6 customization buttons are as follows:

2 silver buttons on the left
2 silver buttons on the right
dpi button in the middle
mouse scroll wheel itself

all these are able to be customized to perform pretty much any function possible (including back and forward) I love this mouse! Very easy to use, great customization using software (also very easy and awesome), and very responsive. Coming from Razr Deathadder mouse (and not going back!)

Is this mouse compatible with Windows 8?
