The aspect ratio for ultrawide 34 inch monitor is 21:9. The aspect ratio for a 27 inch monitor is 16:9. Is there a way to make the monitor at 16:9 aspect ratio when playing certain games? Having a too wide monitor for some games is a detriment 
Lot of newer games support 21:9 which is usually 3440x1440 2k Ultra Wide Resolution. Check game setting for the option If not you can try changing the resolution down to 1920x1080 that’s 16:9
