FromSoftware has dropped a big update for Elden Ring: Nightreign today, and it’s adding some seriously cool stuff. The standout feature is Duo Expeditions, a new two-player co-op mode that lets you team up with a friend and take on exclusive dungeons with synced progress, unique enemy encounters, and even some hidden story content you can only uncover together. The update also introduces the Everdark Sovereign Variant of Augur Maris, basically a nightmare version of an already intense boss, with new phases and environmental hazards.

Patch 1.02 also brings some much-needed polish. Expect cleaner inventory filters, better performance on console, and a bunch of little fixes that’ll make exploring the gloom of Nightreign feel smoother. Whether you’re in it for the lore or just want to suffer stylishly with a friend, this update gives you a good excuse to jump back in.
