Round8 Studio’s “Lies of P” took the gaming world by storm last year with its dark reimagining of Pinocchio in a twisted, blood-soaked Belle Époque. Now, its newly released DLC, is proving that the puppet’s journey is far from over and even more compelling. According to Steam data and PlayStation Network tracking, the DLC has significantly boosted player engagement, with concurrent player counts tripling since launch. Fans and critics alike note that the DLC “feels like a love letter to passionate fans” while still welcoming to newcomers who’ve been waiting for a good reason to pick up the game again. 
Even more surprisingly, publisher Neowiz has celebrated the release with a bonus of roughly $7,300 (10 million South Korean won), two weeks’ additional paid vacation, and a Switch 2 console. This is yet another Korean developer awarding the developers additional bonuses for a success, similar to Stellar Blade which had the MOST successful launch for a PS5 game.
