News: UK Navy creates a gaming room inside their ships fit with RTX 4080 GPUs.

The UK Royal Navy has launched a groundbreaking “esports suite” aboard its latest warship, the HMS Prince of Wales, in collaboration with the British Esports Federation. This dedicated gaming space features eight high‑end Alienware PCs equipped with NVIDIA RTX 4080 GPUs, along with console stations and vibrant red‑vs‑blue lighting to foster team-based LAN competitions. Officially recognized as a “military sport” by the Ministry of Defence in March 2024, esports is now being leveraged by naval leadership as a tool to boost communication, leadership, and strategic thinking among crew members.

LET(CIS)Spec Victory Marley, Esports Committee Member says, “Having an esports suite available to the ship’s company on Prince of Wales is a massive win for the morale on board, as those who use it can enjoy their hobbies or discover a new one, while at the same time engaging with others outside their usual departmental circles.” This is certainly an exciting change for all gamers currently a part of the UK Royal Navy.

The US Navy also has something similar with GOATS & GLORY. What do you think about this? Share your thoughts and leave a comment down below.

They should’ve have built their own computers! I think those computers are so silly.

I wonder how the Internet holds up.

I also hope the person who built those computers actually put a standoff and didn’t screw the SSD directly into the motherboard like a review I saw.

D: SCREW SSD DIRECTLY TO MOTHERBOARD???
HUHHHH
