I’m not a big sound guy. I try to get headsets on sale. I usually don’t spend more than $30 for one.

I use the HyperX Alpha Wireless. 300 hrs of battery life with good comfort. The sound is bassy too which is what I prefer.

It is a studio grade headphone, I do not know how it compares to other headphones soundwise because I do not remember and I have had these for three years. But I do know they’re really comfortable.

I think these do not have much bass, they’re better for classical I think.

Do you use an AMP/DAC combo?

I do not use an AMP/DAC, I have a b850m asus tuf motherboard and that seems to power it well enough, it is only 48 Ohms

Get some in ear monitors, they are life changers.

Really? What pair do you recommend for that?

I used single driver shures for about 6 months and they are great, but I wanted to try out some dual drivers and hybrid drivers. The more drivers the more frequencies have there own driver instead of all from one driver. I bought some 50 bucks hybrid drivers and I use them over my gaming headsets and my studio headphones. They can make your ears bleed if to loud :joy: but they do have wires:sad_but_relieved_face:so from time to time I use my Bluetooth steel series set. If I need to hear foot steps my iems get plugged up. Few buddies of mine have bought even cheaper pairs of Amazon and love them. If you have a mix amp they are even better. I’m on vacation ATM but soon as I’m home I’ll take a pic. Side note these things come in some killer colors and designs.

Sorry for the delay my man.

Hybrid in-ear monitors (IEMs) combine different types of drivers, like dynamic drivers and balanced armature drivers, within a single earphone. This approach aims to leverage the strengths of each driver type, offering a more balanced and detailed sound signature than IEMs using only one type of driver.

Elaboration:

  • Hybrid Design:

Hybrid IEMs typically incorporate a dynamic driver for low-end (bass) frequencies and balanced armature drivers for mid and high frequencies.

  • Dynamic Drivers:

These drivers excel at producing powerful and impactful bass frequencies.

  • Balanced Armature Drivers:

Known for their clarity, detail, and ability to reproduce high frequencies accurately.

  • Benefits:

By combining these drivers, hybrid IEMs can offer a wider frequency response, better detail retrieval, and a more balanced sound overall.

  • Considerations:

FYI like studio headphones iems will benefit greatly from a headphone amp or a mixing board with internal amp.
