Prebuilt Gaming PCs

So I’ve been using some Acer gaming laptop for around 7 or 8 years now, and recently I’ve been getting nervous on when it will kick the bucket. The CPU fan makes very concerning noises and gets clipped/stuck often, maxing itself at like 1400RPM, so I’m deciding to finally get a real PC.

I don’t know exactly what I’m doing in terms of buying a prebuilt, and I’m weary of spending less than a thousand on something that may ***** out in a short while, so I’m will to go above my ideal budget for this. I don’t want to spend more than $1,800 on the PC itself—monitors will be whatever on top, as I don’t really care for curved or anything.

Ideally, I’d like to play games while running Spotify/Discord in the background (can’t really do this currently), run like… medium graphics, and have the possibility for upgrades in the future.

Some games I currently play include Skyrim (no mods), a Dark Souls game, and Dead Cells. Haven’t been able to play Overwatch anymore, and even the occasional Roblox session takes a lot out of it.

Games that I want to play but know I can’t/have tried and can’t run reliably on my laptop: Baldur’s Gate 3, Minecraft, Deadlock, Valorant, CS2, Fortnite, Forza 6, Elden Ring, any Call of Duty game…

I’d prefer something that doesn’t have some ****** AI built into every aspect of it, but totally understand if it’s not very possible in this market lol… I don’t need top of the line, just wanna be able to play my games (and potentially ones with higher graphic quality) without worrying about the thing entirely dying on me. Thanks for any help

you should be able to find a decent mid-level rig for that kind money give me a few minutes and I’ll try to help you find Something that can run the newer games you’re looking to play

,THIS is a really good deal for the current market. The GPU may not be the absolute fastest option out there, but it’s still a strong card for the money, especially with 16GB of VRAM.

I know it’s about $100 over your budget, but personally, I’d seriously consider grabbing it. You’re getting a 7800X3D (Still a top five Gaming CPU), 32GB of DDR5, a 1TB NVMe drive, and a 16GB GPU for $1,899.99. That’s a pretty strong package for a prebuilt in today’s market.

Thermaltake PCs were recommended by Gamers Nexus about a year 1/2 ago too, so I’d feel reasonably comfortable with the brand. This should be a huge upgrade over your laptop and should handle everything you listed without a problem. For the price-to-performance on this specific model, I think it’s hard to ignore.

here’s a couple more that are a little bit under your budget same GPU but with still good but less capable CPUs.
