Can I use this on non-stick pans or glass stovetops?
DO NOT use on non-stick coatings, glass, or polished surfaces, as the emery grit will scratch them! Best used for heavy scrubbing on rusty cast iron, unpolished stainless steel, and grill grates.
What's the difference between the sponges with handles and the flat sheets?
The 6/12-packs include a handle to protect your hands and nails (6-pack is our best-seller!). The 10-pack flat sheets have no handle, making them flexible for tight corners and rusty tools.
Do I use this dry or wet to remove rust? Do I need soap?
Always wet the sponge first! It acts like flexible wet sandpaper to grind away rust. For burnt-on kitchen grease, adding a little dish soap makes scrubbing much easier.
Will the sandy emery coating fall off during cleaning? Can I reuse it?
It's normal for some fine grit to shed during heavy use, just like standard sandpaper. However, it’s durable enough for multiple uses. Just rinse with water and let air dry.
Besides old pots, what else can I clean with these?
They are great for tough outdoor and garage messes! Use them to scrub rusty garden tools, metal fences, BBQ grills, and tough mineral stains on unpolished tile.
