Is the version of Win 8 supplied with this computer 64 or 32bit?
Can it be free upgraded to 8.1?

I don't know how to find out the answer to the bit part of the question, but it CAN be free upgraded to Windows 8.1 because I did the free upgrade.

Does this computer not have a monitor?

That is correct.  I had to buy a separate monitor, and the one I bought is fine, except it does NOT have built-in speakers or a camera... which I did not realize until much later.  The computer itself is fantastic.

Does this unit come with a Windows 7 downgrade?

Here's Gateway's take on this: "Can another version of an Operating System be installed that did not ship with the computer?

Gateway provides support on the pre-installed Operating Systems only. If you change the Operating System, Gateway cannot support the installation, and may not be able to provide all drivers for the hardware in the new Operating System.

In case you need a different Operating System to fulfil specific tasks, you could consider using virtualisation software such as VirtualBox or VirtualPC. These will allow you to install an operating system inside the preloaded operating system. This way, the original operating system stays available."

Does this video card have an HDMI out, where i can hook it to my plasma TV?

Yes it does.  It has one HDMI and one VGA output.  I have connected it to my LCD TV using both outputs and each has worked fine.  Not that this matters for most people, but if you plug speakers or headphones into the 1/4 in jack on the back the audio output for the HDMI stops.   I haven't really had time to check and see if I can change this.

Is my HP6520e All-in-One printer compatible with this?

HP Photosmart 6520 e-all in-one has USB 2.0 port and WiFi 802b/g/n. DX4380-UR22 has three USB2.0 ports and WiFi 802b/g/n(you can use with cable or without with WiFi for remote location). Sandi If the printer does not have CD with driver you can download it from official HP WEB site or your PC will find it for you in the moment when you plug in your printer to the PC.

Is there 2 internal USB 3.0 slots and 2 hard drive bays available to add 2 internal hard drives?

There are 6 SATA plugins on the mobo, so there is room for expansion.  The problem is that the case does not have any additional hard drive racks except for under the CD rom - and the steel cover on it was not cut from the front.  I was able to squeeze a hard drive in it with some coaxing.  I use this as a media center PC and plan on transplanting the mobo, etc into another case so I can more easily add HDDs.  The only other option would be to buy an OEM hard drive rack that would fit and drill/bolt it in yourself

I am want Windows 7 Home Premium.   Since this is Windows 8 home, can it be down versioned like some?   If not, any alternatives except another Windows Purchase would be welcome.

I would like to add an SSD to this computer. Is there room for this addition? Also any issues with 300W power supply?

in regard to the power supply. Yes, the power supplies is weak and will have to be replaced so we can add and quality graphic card. Regarding the SSD drive, we haven't open it but peaking in through the vents its doesn't seem to be that cramped. I hope that helps you. Also I would like to add that I am not an expert by any means. Good computer for the price.

Would i be able to upgrade the graphics card?

You can install a PCI-E x16 graphics card into the computer. The video the system has is onboard.
