Just like always. Good service fast shipping. This was my third Refurbished Gateway machine fully loaded with HDMI port. Great price, easy set up. Runni8ng good for more than 5o days. You can't go wrong.

Yes you can add another HDD or SSD. This 4th gen i5 is wicked fast & I agree the HDD is the bottleneck on this rocket.
Assumption: You want to be able to add a Solid State Drive to get Windows 8 (or other OS) running in <5 seconds.  So did I!  Now that I have the computer, Let me tell you boot time:
Windows8: 20 seconds.  
Wife interuption duration: at least 1 minute.  So you see, in the grand scheme of things a SSD may not be critical.  But, I too will probably get one, some day, to make this machine even sweeter.

The below website mentions you need a bay adapter to mount a SSD/HDD in the empty CD bay.  So an extra $8 to mount the SSD in a professional way.  I added a HDD to Windows XP tower years ago with 1 screw (not professional, but it did work).  Tower computers are ideal for expansion.  Laptops are not.
