The Gearmo 1 Port Serial Hub with Power RX and TX LED is the perfect solution for connecting legacy serial devices to current computers. This RS232 1-port hub utilizes a high performance FTDI Chip that easily adds 1 standard serial port to your desktop, laptop, or other host system.
The converter's serial output is automatically configured as an additional COM port. The serial converter is compatible with most GPS and PDA devices such as Garmin, Magellan, or Palm and peripherals in your office such as modems, printers, scanners, and cameras. With COM retention, the adapter retains its assigned serial COM port value even upon disconnections.
