Why are there dark or purple specks?
Natural sugarcane fibers—the purple comes from sugarcane skin. We don’t bleach or add chemicals. It’s proof of real, uncoated plant-based tableware.
Will oil or sauce soak through the bowl and plate?
Oil or sauce may absorb into the surface, but it won’t seep through to the bottom. The base stays leak-proof. With very liquid foods over time, edges may soften slightly—but no leaking.
Can I microwave or freeze them?
Yes. Microwave and freezer safe. For very liquid foods, avoid storing for more than 2-3 hours—the bowl may soften but will not leak.
