If you are asking if you can set them to any color and any scheme (e.g. static, pulse, rainbow, etc.), then yes.  You just have to download the Gigabyte RGB Fusion tool and you can set it to do whatever you want.  Each LED can be set independently as well.

Regarding the LEDs ... they are RGB.  You can alter the colors and settings either via software in Windows or in the UEFI BIOS.  As far as asking about removing the heatsink?  I'm not sure which heatsink you're referring to.  Ulltimately any of them COULD be removed should you really want to but I'm not sure this is a wise idea.  The only one that's included that I'd say "absolutely yes" to is the one for covering M.2 SSDs.

Yes, it does work if you activate X.M.P in the bios. But till yet I couldn't find any changeable options to overclock the CPU. I had to do that with a third party program

Yes, you will have to flash the BIOS though depending on what revision of the board you get. The latest BIOS version supports gen 3 chips. I went from 5 2600 to 5 3600.

I want to install W7-64 on this mobo. Can the old fashioned DVD disc install be done, or do I have to do the USB method?

With Windows 7 not having the USB3 support for the board, I would think the only method to reliably install W7 is to use the Gigabyte provided USB tool as it slipstreams in the correct drivers to allow a successful installation.

That being said, W7 is end of life/support effective 1-14-20, would recommend biting the bullet and taking this opportunity to move to W10
