What power supply should I use with this motherboard and a AMD A4 4000 Richland 3.2GHZ Socket FM2 65W processor??

Depends on what else you are putting in your computer. If its just the AMD A4 4000 Richland then a 380w + PSU (Power Supply Unit)
should work. I personally recommend at least a 500w PSU, but that is personal preference. If you are putting in a graphics card then read what the graphics card recommend power supply is. For example if the recommend power supply is 400w, then get a 400w or greater PSU. If you think you will be upgrading in the future then get a large w PSU. Do I need a video card to run this MOBO? I see it has VGA and DVI hookups on the board but the specs say no onboard video please help.

if you are running an FM series processor then you do not need a video card if you are not running a FM series proccessor then you will need a video card.  also if you are running a fm series processor and feel you need additional video processing power you can always add a additional video card later

Can you use 2 sticks of ram with this motherboard? (2 sticks of 4gb ram)??

Yes you may.

If you look at the image of the motherboard you will see that it has two slots for ram.
If you look in the specifications page you will find that the board supports a maximum of 64gb of ram, and support dual channel. 
That means you can put two 32gb ram in slots. Which would include two sticks of 4gb rams. :)

Can you overclock on it?

Yes but....I wouldn't waste my time and money on this MB and the A series processors for overclocking. The A10, the fastest processor, will only overclock to 4.0 or 4.2 while the standard clock is 3.8.

Spend a little more money for a better MB and processor, such as the FX processors from AMD.

64 bit os ok?

64-bit OS is faster than 32-bit. However, to take full advantage of it you need programs written for 64-bit systems. Otherwise, just the OS itself uses the 64-bit, which itself is faster. Some software is NOT written to take advantage of the 64-bit computers. The software I use that takes advantage of it is video editing software. These types of programs are hogs when it comes to the system  resources and using it on a 64-bit system helps greatly!
I will admit that the computers I've built in the last 3-4 years have all been 64-bit using Windows OS 64-bit.

Just a verification before I buy. I am putting together a second computer to play low end games. I am looking at the AMD A8-5600K with built in graphics. Can I put that chip in here (and set the rest up properly), POST, and get a video feed? Thanks.

I used an A10 for max performance out of this MOBO. It plays very basic games just fine. However, you might consider moving up to a MOBO with built-in graphics chip that uses one of the Athlon processors rather than this one. Then if you decided to get a little more performance out of it you could add a video card. It would cost you a little more money initially but you'd probably be happier with its performance PLUS it would cost you less in the long run by your being able to add a graphics card later.

Question 8

Looking to upgrade an old office computer running windows xp, Was going to clone the hard drive and just keep running XP- Does anyone know if the BIOS set on this motherboard can run XP out of the box or if I have to perform a swap?

Tristan's right support for XP is ending.  You're using a pretty antiquated OS. Security and drivers are going to be a issue very soon.

Don't get me wrong, I liked and used XP until 7 was released.  Vista and ME were the children no one wanted to claim.  I switch between Linux, Win 7 & 8.

The WINE environment for Linux works pretty well, I haven't run into too many things other than games that have problems.  Win7 I haven't had any problems running older software, unless it already didn't want to work in compatibility mode under XP.

my power supply has a 4 pin plug. would it still work?
