I'm trying to get it for the Z370 GAMING PLUS, would this work fine? I presume it just goes into the M.2 and then the wires go onto one of the bars.

This product uses the fairly new Intel CNVi technology introduced on some Z390 and similar boards. It does NOT fit in a standard M.2 slot or other M.2 WiFi card slot standards. To use this product, your motherboard must support the intel CNVi chips. From a quick overview, the MSI Z370 does not support the Intel CNVi chip, so this product will not work for you. For your motherboard, a PCIe based device would be necessary.

What do you need for this to work besides a compatible mother board so what exactly do i need? Do i need to use my router or no but i dont think ethernet is somethig i can do easily?

Your MB must have an "M.2 slot (Key E) for an Intel® CNVi wireless module"  to plug in the tiny card in the kit. You also must have a wireless connection available, like your home router to provide wireless signal.

Is the M.2 card set for Key E or Key A?

I used it in a Key E slot on a MSI Z390 Tomahawk and it works just fine.
