I have a older computer my graphics card recently started acting up and giving me issues so I think its time to get a new one.My question is can my computer handle this card? here are my computer specs motherboard MS 7525 Pentium duo core processor and 4 gb of ram.

I dont use this system for gaming at all, just looking to replace my GeForce GTX 550 Ti that recently died.

Question 2

Is this card SLI capable? I can't seem to find SLI listed anywhere on any of the cards I've looked at and if they don't have a picture of the top of the card I can't tell if it's SLI capable or not.

No, there is no top SLI connector. No power connector.  Fan does not even come on unless its needed, its silent.

do i need to hook this up to my power supply or can i hook it up to the motherboard?

You just plug this card into your motherboard. It doesn't require direct connection to the power supply.  But that doesn't mean you can run it with just any power supply.  You still need to check wattage requirements as well as amperage ratings on your 12V rail.  This card has a TDP of 75 watts and recommends a power supply of at least 300 watts.  But that assumes the wattage rating on your PSU is accurate.  Most cheap power supplies today have wattage ratings that mean absolutely nothing.  For instance, the 480 watt power supplies that come with the Logisys cases here on Newegg burned out every time I tried them with a video card that had a TDP of 75 watts.  Ultimately, if your power supply is very light, it's not likely to provide enough power even for this low power consumption video card.

You system is probably overkill. If you have a pci-e x16 slot on your motherboard then yes, you can. That's all it requires.

As long as the motherboard in that PC has a pci-e video card slot and the power supply has the wattage to run it then it should be no problem.

Will I be able to use this for Virtual Reality?

I have not tried it for VR myself however I'd imagine you might have trouble with VR games that are very graphically intensive.
