Question 2

Does toss card have a back plate? Have you had any issues with the card sagging?

The card doesn't sag in my rig, though it is quite large and heavy. There were some driver issues at the start since I was on a 32gb RAM system, but those have since been fixed and this thing runs like a champ. GTA V on ultra.

is this a card that will fit into a low profile desktop like the Lenovo M93?

This card is extraordinarily long. 12.2" from what Newegg says here. From the pictures I am seeing of the small form factor Lenovo M93p, it looks like you have about 6 or 7 inches of clearance (there are Quadro 400 cards in the picture that seem to measure about 5.5" and it looks like there's one more inch of room before the hard drive). I think you're going to need a bigger case for a card this size. There are many Lenovo M93 form factors it seems. Maybe I am not looking at the same one you have in mind.

Question 4

I currently have a Corsair CX500W power supply. Will that be sufficient? I understand that the recommended requirement is 550W, but upon using PCPartPicker to calculate my estimated wattage with my current rig, it's around 380-400W usage. So, in theory 500W should be enough, right? I don't plan to OC this card or anything that would draw more power than standard.

I personally would go for an upgrade on the PSU if possible.

The 80 plus rating system tells you how efficient this PSU is under different loads. The 80 plus bronze tells you it will have an efficiency of at least 82% from the factory under full load(gaming or something). That other 18% could be lost in heat.

Basically you may have as little as 400 watts maximum. PSU's also degrade over time, so if you mange to barely scrape by, you'll probably lose another 5% over a year of heavy use, and then you'll likely have some sort of power issue.

I suggest at least that 550 watt minumum, preferably a 600 watt to keep yourself well within the safe zone. Good luck on your build!

What power supplies have the correct 6 pin and 8 pin connectors?

Any of the above will support the GTX 970. I recommend one of the Corsair, SeaSonic or Thermaltake modular units.

Note that if you want to add a second card later for SLI you'll need to upgrade to a higher capacity power supply with 4x 6+2 PCI-E connectors.

In the specification tab it says 6 pin/8 pin does this mean a 6 pin and a 8 pin or 1 6 pin or just 1 8 pin?

It uses both one 6-Pin and one 8-Pin (14 pins in total), so make sure your PSU can support it.

Is this a multi gpu  card sli  by that I want  too know is it two graphic cards on this one card?

No.  However, if you wish, you can purchase a second  (or third/fourth AFAIK) GPU to SLI.

Does it come with a backplate?

There is no backplate on this version -- the version with a backplate is the GV-N970G1.

Question 9

This card comes without a backplate.  Has anyone noted any rigidity or stability issues with the card as a result?  Any bowing due to the length or weight?

No backplate on this card. No problem with weight. The card is somewhat long so no need for backplate.  I had to remove some of the extra hard drive slots; my computer case has easy sliding clips for removing the holding brackets.

What is the difference between the Windforce and G1 Gaming option?

This one does not come with a backplate; also, the windforce logo does not have any LEDs in this version.
