No, there is no plate on the back of the card.

are these crossfire compatible?

560 are crossfire compatible. You must keep in mind however that doubling performance in all games/applications is highly unlikely. You are still reliant on game developers and drivers to take advantage of crossfire. Some games make work fantastic, others will be so-so and even others might not work at all. Purchase a second card with caution.

I know this sucks because 570/580 cards are unavailable or overpriced due to mining.  In this scenario normally I always suggest going with 1 bigger GPU to avoid any potential issues with multiple cards.

Does this card support CrossfireX to link with my current video card?

Most AMD Radeon video cards are Cross-Fire capable, but your motherboard needs to support slot to slot linked Cross-Fire X as the new Cross-Fire X system does not use the bridge device anymore.

The Spec section say it has a 6 pin power connection, but the photos show no extra power connection which is it?

Depends on if Rev. 1 or Rev.2. I have Rev 2 and no power connection.

Yes, there is nothing wrong with doing pairing them. "Low-end" or not, they pair together.

Does this card support VGA monitors ?

It looks like all the connections are digital only. The DVI connector does not have the 4 pins around the bar, those pins are used for Analog connections like VGA. You would need a Digital HDMI, DVI, or DP converter box to VGA to get analog  from any of the connections on the card. Those boxes are 30+ vs. just a cable. It can be done but will cost more than a typical cable. It is 2017, DVI Monitors have been the norm for 10 years. Use this to buy a new DVI or HDMI monitor while your at it :)

I don't believe thwre is. It's a low end card so there aren't many after market things for them.

It's doubtful you'll get a good VR experience with this. Try an AMD Rx 570/580 or 
Nvidia Gtx 1060/1070.
