I know its for a PCI-E 3.0 and i was wondering if it would work on a PCI-E 2.0?

It will work with both PCI-E 2.0 and 3.0! I have a 2.0 myself and it works like a charm and I LOVE IT! Im getting a little carried away but to answer you question, It works with both types. Hopes this helps ;)

Question 2

The write-up says specifically this takes a SINGLE slot. Should I believe that? The photo certainly does not look that way...

It will take up two slots.  The fan protrudes slightly into the slot next to it.  you might be able to get away with it if the slot spacing on your motherboard is wider.  but i would recommend keeping it empty as the fan needs room for air.

will this run with a 480w psu?

GPU isn't the only thing that matters when it comes to picking wattage. I had to switch out my 500 for a 700 because I have a power hungry CPU and both an ssd and hdd. I used Gooeypc to check the power consumption of my setup to make sure I had the right wattage to support everything.

Question 4

I am trying to acquire a compatible video card for a Lenovo H530.
It has not been easy.
I have gone through what I believe to be step 1, and upgraded the power supply to a 500W.
Is there a way for me to install the drivers for this particular card beforehand, so I can know beforehand if it is compatible with my system?

istalling the drivers wont tell ou if the hardware is incompatable, if youre using a standard off the shelf PC, id say that your core system probably uses 200-300 watts, and then only under load, your idle power consumtion will be much less. so leaving aprox 200 watts for your GFX card is a sane assumption.

considering that the Lenovo H530 comes standard with a Radeon HD 8490 or equivalent Nvidia card, id say your probably good.

personally i love my r7 240, it was affordable and a big step up from my previous card. i'll only get rid of it when i upgrade to a R9 or equivalent nvidia. and even then it'll go into one of my servers for stream processing.

Does this card support 3 monitors?

No, this card does not support using 3 monitors simultaneously. AMD has a spec sheet which I cannot link through this system, but the short of it is that the 240 only supports 2 displays, the 250 supports up to 3 with some caveats, and the 250X supports 3 HDMI/DVI displays.

Yes, there are windows ten drivers available for this card. Once installed simply navigate to the amd website and get the latest catalyst control software and drivers that correspond with the chipset as you would with any other AMD graphics card. Cheers. Hope this helps.

I would like to run this in 'dual graphics' mode with my AMD A8 7600 APU. I currently have an Antec Earthwatts 380Watt PSU. I know the minimum recommended for this is a 400W but I'd like to know if that suggestion is for when the card is being used normally (i.e. not in crossfire or dual graphics mode) or if there is another recommended wattage for when its being paired with another card or an APU. If it can be used in dual graphics mode with a 400Watt PSU do you think I could get by with my existing 380Watt? Thanks.

hi    If you are to install two cards in same system. 380 watts will not cut it.
if you are to use one card in dual mode, you may get by.
but I would upgrade myself. you should have  20% over power needed. this will make the power supply last longer and run cooler.
 a power supply outputs what is needed by system, if you run the power supply at 100% it will not last long, so you should have a power supply which is higher then what is needed by the system.
   so it will not have to run at 100% all the time.
   I'm a computer tech.

Just to double check but I dont see anywhere, but is this crossfire ccapable?

Yes it does but if you want performance  one 120 dollar card would far outperform two of these cards.
Crossfire has limited improvement on capabilities or performance. Some games even lose performance in crossfire. If your willing to spend 120 you might just want to grab a better card.    Don't get me wrong it's a great mid grade gaming card but two won't make it better then one high quality.

how many watts does it require?

I've had it in a system with a 400W PS for quite a while and it seems to be fine.  Its not a high power card.
