Question 1

Is there enough room for a 4080 or 4090 ? I think the slots are either too close to the heatsink or too close to the edge.  And do I have to remove GPU in order to reveal M2 slots?

I have a RTX 4090 in my Aorus Extreme X. There is room for the air cooled version, and even more if you use a water cooled 4090. I also am using the large heatsink for the primary M2 drive with no clearance problems. The VGA/GPU would have to be removed in order to access the drive slots that are under the heatsink/cover.

Question 2

What is with Gigabyte specs? They only show native support for ddr5 4800. Not even DDR5 5600. Only OC mode...

As far as specs/performance - i turned on the XMP boost in BIOS and my ddr5 ran at 7200 - Oc'ed the CPU and GPU and hit UFO on userbenchmark com with all operating at greater than expected.

Question 3

Is anyone able to verify that you can edit the boards display screen and change LED colors and sensor readouts? der8auer said in his review that this was not possible using Gigabyte software.

Unless I'm missing it in the BIOS  somehow, there is no way to change the appearance or functionality of the display.  It is always generally purple in color.  It also starts on boot by displaying a transformers-like animation that I wish I could disable.

The first three rows of info are always present, namely CPU temp, VRM temp, and CPU voltage.  The bottom two rows slowly cycle through RPM values for the board's ten fan headers: CPU_Fan, CPU_Opt, SYS_FAN_1, SYS_FAN_2, SYS_FAN_3, SYS_FAN_4, SYS_FAN_5, SYS_FAN_6, SYS_FAN_7, and SYS_FAN_8.

I only use five of the ten headers, so the five unused headers show 0 RPM.  So far as I can tell, there is no way to disable the display of unused fan headers.

Also, FYI, the website shows it as display real-time system info re CPU Clock and Memory Clock.  Those do -not- appear on my display, but maybe that's because I have not begun to overclock yet?

Maybe I missed it somehow, but I have not found anyway to edit the content or color of the display.  It runs a "Transformers-like" animation on boot (which I would love to disable), and then displays system info.  The first three rows, which are always shown, include CPU temp, VRM temp, and CPU voltage.  The lower two rows cycle through the RPM information on the MB's ten fan headers, CPU Fan, CPU Opt, SYS FAN 1 to 8.  There is no way to change the names, or stop displaying unused headers that show as 0 RPM, so far as I can tell.  The display's general color is always purple.
