Pros: -Solid Image Quality
-IPS Display with good refresh rate and response time
-Sleek frameless design that is both superthin and lightweight, but also somewhat sturdy
-Price is fantastic for an ASUS Monitor
-Display menu is relatively easy to navigate and get through
-easy to set and assemble, and also comes with extra display cords
Cons: - The stand of the computer would be nice to have it match the color of the metallic trim, and could be a bit sturdier (but one must take price into consideration as well)
- Wish that their were more color options (only the soft gold color is available)
-Speakers are a bit subpar for a monitor (again, consider pricing and what your getting)
Overall Review: All-in-all, I've just received this monitor yesterday and so far I have no complaints. I couldn't find any dead pixels or any other problems with it when I first took out of the box, and I hope it remains that way for a while. Now the only thing that I WILL warn people about when it comes to buying an ASUS product of any kind is that their customer service is EXTREMELY subpar. I ordered one of the Designo Series ASUS Monitor about a year ago and had to return it do to some dead pixels in the screen and the return process and what I got back was atrocious. They returned my original monitor in worse shape than when I returned it to them, and it was essentially unusable. So be warned, if you encounter any problems with the monitor, you may have a tough time getting through Customer Service.
Pros: HDMI input; great picture - very clear and crisp, yet easy on the eyes.
Cons: There is NO VESA mount on this monitor. The specifications are incorrect. -1 egg for incorrect description. Consequently, the bottom of the viewable area of the monitor is about 3.5" above the desk surface.
Overall Review: I would buy again if I didn't need VESA.
Pros: Just be careful once u want to switch the angle, need a little bit of strength.
Cons: Nope. Fair enough.
Pros: -Images were clear
Cons: -Screen issues as time went on (half the screen is now black)
-Speaker quality is poor
-Very tight stand and is hard to turn initially
Overall Review: I previously bought this monitor last year in November and the screen began to have some pixel issues around April of this year. Now using it, half of the screen's pixels are not working. When it worked, the monitor was great, however, compared to the other monitors I own this one seems especially fragile and became unusable over time.
Pros: I have no idea, I can't use it for its intended purpose.
Cons: Obviously my own fault for not checking, but I bought it to use as a multiple monitor setup. Unfortunately it has no mount holes and must sit on a desk. I guess I'm selling it and buying another.
Cons: the worst part of this screen is the brightness bleeding through the edges of the frame when looking at black/darker pictures . horrible at night during dark scenes but you get used to it over time. blue light filter doesnt do much pretty much useless.
speakers bad but who cares
Overall Review: not a bad monitor if you get it on sale but would not recommend to anyone due to the light bleeding thru the edges . i read other reviews with the same issue. ive never had a monitor bleed this bad , even a cheap 10$ salvation army special from years ago still looks better
Pros: Good quality image
Cons: Useless speakers (sound and volume comparable to an old desktop computer internal speaker), difficult control layout, no VESA mount.
Overall Review: I bought this monitor to put in my kitchen as satellite TV display. Somehow, even though I was looking at specs, I bought one that isn't VESA mountable. This is the first time I've ever returned something to Newegg, but after spending over two hours trying to figure out how to make it work I realized it would be cheaper to return it and buy something usable. The display itself would be fine for a computer display, however switching inputs between VGA and HDMI is cumbersome and the monitor speaker quality is horrible from both HDMI and line in. There is no line out, so you can't push sound from the HDMI out to an amp.
Pros: - I was looking for a smaller monitor that was close to borderless with a clear picture and speakers and this fits all those needs.
- It is fine for my gaming needs (but I'm not as picky about refresh rates as some people are) and it looks very sleek.
- Ultra-Slim is very elegant
Cons: - None that I can think of
Overall Review: - "Eye care feature" is a nice touch although I'm not certain how often I'll actually use it. It didn't seem to make much of a difference until the lowest setting which just drastically lowered the brightness of the monitor.
