Pros: Went from 512 mb to 1.2 Gigs in an Averatec 6240-EH1. I can open multiple copies of visual studio, photoshop, and burn a DVD without any slowdown. Exactly what I expected at much less than I expected to pay. Great buy.

Cons: The rebate must be sent within 12 days of purchase. Those 12 days kind of flew by, didn't get the rebate sent.

Overall Review: I reccomend turning off the page file if you have a lot of physical RAM (>1 gig). I did this and it made all the difference in the world.

Pros: Super fast while it worked

Cons: Have to get a speedy replacement since it was my system drive. We’ll see how the warranty process goes. Got a blue screen and a day later the drive isn’t detected in BIOS. My other drives show up fine. Tried reseating and resetting BIOS but no dice. It’s dead.

Overall Review: Bought a WD solid state drive as replacement.

Pros: Worked fine, while it worked.

Cons: After almost three months to the day, this ram became mysteriously bad. It corrupted my entire windows partition before moving on to other files on my computer. Memtest86 reported over 100,000 errors. Keep in mind nothing was changed hardware wise or even software wise. Just out of the blue it started wrecking havoc. RMA'd with newegg, that went smoothly and now I have another identical chip that I hope wont explode on me.

Overall Review: Just spend the extra money on a better brand. The cost of shipping it back for the RMA plus the time invested in rebuilding your operating system AND the time without the RAM is not worth a few dollars in savings.

Pros: Cheap price with rebate.

Cons: Burns at only 4x in my LITEON SOSW-852S (default burner in Averatec 6240) Nero rates it as a 12x burner, the specifications say it's 8x (And I have burned 8x with memorex dvd+r's) Dissapointing, wanted 8x, got 4x.

Overall Review: It says on the packaging "For optimal performance, check your drive manufacturers's website and apply the latest firmware." For some reason, LITEON does not have any firmware updates for this drive.
