VES 31-8S is an unmanaged mobile PoE switch designed for telematics and transportation applications operating in harsh environments. Featuring a rugged, fanless enclosure, it ensures reliable Ethernet connectivity for mobile systems requiring stable data transmission.
The switch provides multiple Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet ports, including IEEE 802.3af/at compliant PoE+ ports, enabling simultaneous transmission of video streaming, voice, and mission-critical data over a single Ethernet network. It is well-suited for connecting powered devices such as IP cameras and wireless access points in mobile deployments.
To address the unstable nature of vehicle power sources, the VES 31-8S supports a wide input voltage range from 9 VDC to 36 VDC. Integrated smart power management functions include low battery voltage protection, configurable power-on and power-off delay timers, and automatic ignition-based power control. These mechanisms help maintain continuous operation and protect both the switch and connected equipment from power-related damage.
Encased in a dustproof, fanless housing, the VES 31-8S is engineered to withstand shock, vibration, and extreme temperatures ranging from -40°C to 70°C. Its compact form factor supports flexible installation in space-constrained environments, with optional DIN-rail mounting for deployment in vehicles and industrial cabinets.
