Pros: - fixed several of my damaged XBOX 360 game discs - good price
Cons: - leaves a swirl pattern on discs. GameStop may not accept trade-ins on repaired discs.
Overall Review: This device fixed some pretty deep scatches on some of my game discs. It was worth every penny, and saved me from having to repurchase games that were damaged.
Ceramic thermal compound
Pros: - Keeps my CPUs cool - binds tightly - inexpensive
Cons: - Thicker and pastier than other compounds I've used before - difficult to remove once applied
Overall Review: - be careful removing your heat sink from your CPU with this compound. It binds so tightly that you could damage your CPU if you are not careful.
Not impressed
Pros: Not too expensive
Cons: Difficult to install. Only 3-pin plug instead of 4-pin, so fan speed can't be controlled by bios. So, it's full speed at all times. Slow shipping from China.
Overall Review: It's quiet if you connect it to a fan speed controller, but that's an extra expense.
Ripsaws
Pros: - Fast, reliable RAM - inexpensive - looks cool - overclocks well
Cons: - none
Overall Review: I've been using GSkill RAM in multiple builds for several years now with no issues. Best bang for your buck in my opinion.
NZXT White Case
Pros: - White case looks cool, clean and simple - Lots of space inside for components - Good quality construction - Inexpensive
Cons: - No USB 3.0 front ports - Case is much larger than I expected
Overall Review: - I planned to use this case for a media PC, but it's not compact enough. I replaced my old desktop PC case with this one instead.
Software compatibility issues
Pros: It seems to burn read and burn discs fast.
Cons: I was getting errors in Nero until I installed latest LightScribe drivers. Writing is slow and inconsistent with DVDFab. I had zero issues with my old Liteon DVD burner -- it's still going string after over 2 years.
Overall Review: I won't buy this drive again. My next one will be another Liteon.
