Pros: - Affordable
- Great matte screen
- Colors are amazing
- Sidepanel buttons are easy to use
- Great quality product from BenQ
Cons: Only one con: it only comes with a VGA cable. I had to buy an HDMI cable seperately.
Overall Review: If you're looking for a nice budget monitor that will do it's job, this is it right here. BenQ have always came through with quality products and this speaks for itself. It features a glossy bezel that isn't too thick and has a beautiful matte display that have great colors. It has a smooth forward and backwards tilt. The stand is made of plastic but it's not overly cheap and the monitor barely wobbles (one of the most important things for me when buying a monitor). The construction is there and set up is a breeze. This is probably the best 24" 1080p 60hz TN panel out there. Don't play yourself with the any ASUS or ACER 24"... because the quality on this is far better. I got this for around $100 with discounts and I am very satisfied with this purchase. Personally I am using this for gaming, streaming, and programming. I never write reviews but I'm writing this right now to inform all of you budget monitor shopper like myself. This is the product that hit the sweet spot for me and I have to spread the word so none of you guys play yourselves.
Pros: Fast response times
upgraded from 1050 and will never go back
gtx 970 set to 61fps in games such as batman arkham knights, league of legends, heros of the storm and counter strike global offensive there is no tearing input lag or stutters, its flawless 1080 gameplay.
Was gonna pay the extra $$ for a 144hz display but this was not needed as this monitor can deliver what I was looking for.
The low blue settings really helped out my eyes in long gaming sessions, feel much less strained with this on I love it.
Cons: Large bezels would not be the best for multiple monitor setups.
Intially thought I had issues because it took a bit for me to figure out the menu buttons and the monitor was not on the channel the hdmi input i had plugged it into was.
Again menu is a bit tricky to get used to but once you have all your settings it works awesome.
Tilt hinges felt a bit flimsy but was able to set it up and it does not shake while gaming (have a few leg shakers that game on the same table.)
Pros: - Big screen
- Looks good
- Good price at $130
- Low blue light settings for extended reading or screen viewing adjustable with simple control
- DVI, HDMI, and VGA with input switching
- Built in speaker (Haven't used it yet)
Cons: Controls on side are not labeled and take a little getting used to so you aren't turning off the screen or doing other things while making setting adjustments. Don't use often enough to take off an egg though
Overall Review: I just built a new pc to game on and all I can do is play Runescape Classic in a tiny window. A waste of all this fabulous screen space! But it means I can have a browser and spotify open at the same time...
Pros: Flawless response times. No screen tearing. Very bright at first, but if you turn down the brightness buy about a fourth, its really easy on the eyes at that point. NOT A SINGLE DEAD PIXEL!!! (so happy on that part)
Cons: The only "con" I can think of is the buttons on the side. But the area I have around the monitor is fairly open and has a good amount of light for me to see the buttons, so its not that big of a problem as long as i make sure my fingers are resting on the correct buttons.
Overall Review: This is probably the best purchase I have ever made on newegg. I was using an 18.5" monitor before this, and the difference in size comparison from both monitors is amazing.
Pros: 1. Great Colors
2. Great Viewing angles for TN
3. Sturdy build quality in general
4. Vesa mounting holes
5. Matte finish on panel
6. Inexpensive when I got it
7. Very easy assembly
Cons: 1. Stand can be a little wobbly if you accidentally hit the table
2. Speakers are extremely quiet even when fully cranked up
3. I have heard that the response time is really 4ms as opposed to the 2ms advertised, but who really can tell a couple of milliseconds of lag?
Overall Review: Coming from a 15.6" Laptop I've been using for a couple of years, this screen was a big jump in size. Definitely worth what I paid for it back then.
I have heard things about IPS panels having more color depth and things such as that, but that IPS doesn't really make a huge improvement until you start going into more expensive monitors.
Pros: It has great definition, and is a giant screen compared to what I"m used to. It's well-lit and is easy to switch between the HDMI and VGA connections.
It's also lightweight, and very slim. I would recommend this to nearly anyone.
Cons: As mentioned elsewhere, its speakers are really bad. Even my laptop speakers have higher volume and clarity. At full volume, I can barely make out any sound coming from it.
Its mounting stand is not completely stable. Small vibrations in the table are amplified to the screen. In fact, even typing this review right now, I'm noticing some visible shaking. That said, my desk isn't 100% stable either.
Comes with a VGA cable, not an HDMI cable.
Overall Review: Overall, I love this monitor. Getting it in the mail was like waking up to find that Techno Claus left an awesome present at my doorstep.
Pros: Great color, great variety of options to change your color to how you want your gaming experience to look. Low blue light is another cool feature added in, but it's not for me. Comes with speakers for those times I don't wanna use my headphones and have that crease in my hair after wearing my headphones. Gives you a recommended resolution for when you boot up an application or game, which is pretty cool, just something extra they threw in there. Ability to tilt your monitor to how you want it. Price is amazing, I have a solid triple monitor gaming setup now for just $430.
Cons: Speakers aren't as loud as I'd like them, not an issue for me, but see other thoughts. Other than that, I'd say the really only small con is that the buttons are on the back right side of the monitor, but it's not a huge deal at all.
Pros: I may not be the best at rating monitors, but I do know this was one hell of a good decision to buy. Especially since I got it on sale. Most monitors are not this cheap.
Overall Review: Great decision.
