Built for: dual-purpose NAS builds (TrueNAS, Unraid), Proxmox and ESXi hosts isolating VM traffic, pfSense/OPNsense routers with WAN + LAN on one card, and small business servers that need redundant uplinks. RoCE RDMA support cuts latency for iSCSI and NFS workloads, while SR-IOV/VMDq lets dozens of VMs share the card with near-native performance.
