Does this come with a dock?

The keyboard is a dock of sorts. It will not charge your tablet though. The only way to charge it is to connect the mini usb to the tablet itself. The keyboard also doesn't work unless it is connected. So far, I love this thing.

Is the OS 32 bit or 64 bit?

32 bit. This machine here came with Windows 8.1 Home Premium 32 bit and I have the previous version of this machine at work that I installed Windows 8.1 Enterprise 32 bit running on a Active Directory Domain. i believe if you check the ASUS website it can only run 32 bit OS and software. This machine works very well especially for it's cost.

does it have cellular connectivity for internet access?

I was not able to make a bluetooth connection but the ASUS status immediately changed to 'not connected' if the cell is in 4G  mode. I was not able to tether off to cellular but then again, some carriers prevent that now I believe including mine. Your mileage may vary. It will connect via bluetooth through a cell phone WIFI but that makes no sense to do as the ASUS can simply connect directly with its own WIFI

how do you load applications onto an ultrabook?

It's a window 8.1 operating system, so you can add new apps through the "metro" interface using the Microsoft store.   Or you can download windows 8.1 compatiable software and install them from the desktop interface in the same fashion as previous windows versions.

Can we upgrade to Windows 8.1 pro?

It has 8.1 with Bing. Have not seen an option to change to 8.1 Pro for free.

No but it has a micro sd slot which accepts a 64 gb sd drive  which I did and it shows as "D" drive

Yup, it flips around just like a smart phone. Although I've found keeping it on the docking station and using the arrow keys to flip page is the most comfortable way to use it.
