Is there any way to use cheats on this system? Like maybe game genie type cheats.

To answer my own question, Yes you can use cheats. You want to use Hakchi2 CE version, and Retroarch Neo something or other. Just follow the guides at snes classic mods. you will have to add --retroarch at the end of the command line for your SNES games, which is why you need the CE version of hakchi. It shows you the command line for the pre installed games.
