Will this allow me to use the com port on the ASUS Sabertooth 990 FX motherboard? I am aware that only one DB9 can be used but I need the full sized slot cover. There is a single port available but it is a low profile slot cover but I need the full sized cover.

There are 2 different standards for serial ports. Each on has a different pin out. This one is the Intel standard.  You need to look at the motherboard specifications to determine if it is compatible.  The single port cable are common and available in both pin outs.  2 port cables are rare and I was only able to find it with the Intel standard so I am rewiring them.
