The built-in database includes 2,000 common foods, from meats, fruits, vegetables, and grains to packaged ingredients, plus space for up to 99 custom entries using nutrition information from food labels. For recipes and complete meals, SAVE individual ingredients as you add them to the same plate or bowl, then press TOTAL to view their combined nutrition. The optional app makes it easier to look up and save favorite food codes but does not connect to or control the scale, and no app, account, or internet connection is required for operation. Use it as a standard digital kitchen scale for everyday weighing with an 11lb capacity, readings in 1g / 0.1oz increments, grams and pounds/ounces, and a bright backlit display.
