What Hub chip is used internally in this device? I'm looking for a 2 port hub based on the SMSC (now Microchip) USB2412 hub chip.

won`t work on hi speed stuff..it`s old school computer stuff..

How long is the cord?

The physical cord is just under 12 inches. The Dual USB head is just under 2 inches, and the single USB connector is just under 2 incues. So if my grade school math is correct ;-} just under 16 inches total length.
