What voltage is this unit?

I don't know if this is the answer, but according to the use/care guide its wiring requirements are: 115-volt, 0-12 Amps, 15-amp time-delay fuse or circuit breaker.

Does this unit use an external drain?  We are thinking of replacing a smaller Haier 8,000 BTU unit that is similar with the 10K unit.  The 8K unit drips water out of both corners of the outside casing.  It sweats some on the inside panel as well.

There is a plug in the rear of the device that allows it to drain out the back.  I've never had any problems with it, especially water from the front.  Just make sure the pitch is correct (slightly rearward tilt).  It has been a great AC and I'd definitely buy again.

is the air conditioner on a 115 amp or 220 amp?

I have three and I use them on a regular outlet, so I am assuming that it is 115 amp
