Question 1

How tall a travel mug will this accommodate?  Mine are pretty tall, at 7 7/8 inches tall.

Hi Mary , I measure mine for accepting a travel Mug,  maximum would be 6 3/4"   to  7"

Be aware.. for mine I have to fill my scoop all the way to its top  and set mine on strong brew for  a decent cup of coffee.
And after time  the screen in the scoop will be come clogged with coffee resin ... and need to be soaked in bleach or something.
For the Price if this thing..  I wished I'd never ordered it and just stuck with my little four cup maker.  This does make a cup of coffee fast.. sometimes I think it makes it too fast as the hot water runs through the Grounds faster  and I don't think it ever does get all the coffee goodness out of the grounds. It could actually use more over time.     For a person that just wants a single cup of coffee in the mornings it's ok,  but if you like to go on two or three cups of coffee... better to find another coffee maker.

Question 2

sometimes I do not get a full cup, even though I put in a full cup of water?

I've never had that issue. I've had mine for at least a year with very solid performance. My only issue is that there's a little more over splash than there should be. Clearly a design flaw they decided to leave. But overall I really like it BECAUSE it gives me what I put in it - I control exactly how much coffee I get. There is maybe a slight loss due to steam but nothing close to significant and barely noticeable.

Question 3

can we make tea with this ?

Yes. I would use the "Bold" setting to allow the tea to steep longer. The water isn't in contact with the tea as long as using a pot, so you may have to use more tea or practice with the proper amount to your taste. I prefer stronger tea, so I only use mine for coffee, but I may experiment with tea using the second scoop now that I think about it.

Question 4

Do you find the taste of your coffee in mild compared to coffee made in the other type of makers? I use twice as much coffee just to get the same strength.

No.  To strengthen just select less water.
