Pros: Like most other reviews, I have to agree that there is alot of value for the dollar. Wide format, bright-vivid coloring, and high resolution. I did have two bad pixels towards the top center of the screen, but I was able to "massage" one of them away and lessen the brightness of the other with just a little rubbing over the spot. Having all the connectors and a wide, stable base is a nice feature as well. I plugged the speakers up as my center speakers on my sound card and they make a nice addition as well. I wouldn't have relied on them to be my primary speakers, but who buys an LCD for the speakers anyway? The reviews I read helped me make my decision about this monitor, and I wasn't disappointed. A quick update of my video card driver and the native resolution showed a sharp, clear image.
Cons: The two bad pixels were a bit of a bummer. But as I said in the "Pros", they are in an out of the way place and I was able to make one disappear and make the other of the two less significant. The only thing to be sure about with a monitor like this is the wide format compared to older CRT's...the way I look at it thought is now I can take advantage of side widgets where I didn't before with my old standby. So that is more of a "pro" than a "con", just understand there is a big difference in styling from square to wide formats.
Overall Review: While I was shopping monitors at Newegg and a few other places, Newegg ended up offering free shipping which helped me make the choice easier. Have done lots of business with Newegg over the years as a system-builder and always been pleased with quality, selection, service, price, and availability...you will be too.
