What is the range of this unit?

The range really depends on your house. If I recall this is a 4 or 5 db unit. As such I had trouble getting it to connect from my basement to my second floor. In order to do that I needed a 9 db unit which connects ok. If I needed it to go through just one floor it seemed to work ok. Hope that answer helps.

Is this wifi adapter's drivers compatible with OSX 10.10 and 10.11? I bought a similar adapter that said compatible with OSX 10.7+ and its drivers are still not updated past 10.9.

I am using it with Win 10 but not with an Apple item. Sorry
