The card says its a low profile. Will this work in a standard desktop tower?

Yes, it will. You can see in the first picture (where it has a DVI, HDMI and VGA-15pin connector visible), that is the L-bracket for standard desktop. If you want to use it in a low-profile computer you'd have to unscrew and replace the bracket with the 2 smaller brackets included in the package (visible in the 4th picture, the one with the box), which moves the VGA connector to a second case slot (if VGA connection is necessary)

will this work in a desktop computer?

Yes if you have a PCIeX1 slot the very small slot.  I had one in an old Emachine desktop but no video card slot i.e. PCIeX16 .  If you have one of those built in video cards in your computer this card would provide better performance.  But if you have full size video slot buy a full size card  a card with 16 channels is better than the mini X1 with only one channel.  This card will not work in a notebook computer.

This is advertised as a low profile video card but will it work with a Standard height as well?

Yes, the one I received was very similar to this one (it had the round TV connection instead of the HDMI) but I think you'll be happy with the card.

Will this card work with a 32bit windows OS?

Yes this will work with any OS with supported Drivers 32 or 64bit as long as your motherboard has a PCI-E slot It will fit in 1x-4x-16x Slot.

Near the bottom you will see, Manually Select Your Driver..

Step 1:  Select the type of product that you have.

- Select Desktop Graphics

Step 2:  Select the product family your product belongs to:

-Radeon HD Series

Step 3:  Select your product:

-Radeon HD 5xxx Series PCIe

Step 4:  Select the supported operating system that you have:

-Select the OS you are going to be running on the machine you plan on installing the video card into.

If the OS is not listed then its not supported.

Question 5

We would like to use a dual monitor set-up.  Will this card allow that?
Do we need an additional splitter to accomplish this?

A splitter will split the signal resulting in the card seeing just 1 screen but what is being displayed to MIRROR.

This card will run 2, just 2, screens independently or mirrored. the DVI can output VGA with an adapter. The DVI and HDMI are 1 output and the VGA is the second.

Question 6

I've been trying to find a single/ mini width PCI express graphics card. I have a Dell Optiplex 755. bought A regular express video card before and it wouldn't fit into my computer. can anyone guarantee me that this will install properly and display via hdmi on my tv?

I can tell you it will fit in the computer, installed the same one in the same machine,  but it is hooked up via DVI so can't help you on the HDMI part.  Cant see why it wouldnt work though

Question 7

Will this card run three monitors (VGA, Display Port and DVI) at the same time? No graphical demand, just in a business office (word, excel, Outlook, etc...)

Nope. I used this to add a 3rd monitor to an existing dual-monitor setup. The x1 PCIe slot was the key to adding a 2nd graphics card to our HP towers.

is this Windows 8 compatible?

I am using it with windows 8 now without any problem.
This is being used in a business type computer, (no games).
I don't know about gaming. Internet  works well also.

i have used it in two gateway machines with the PCI E 1x slot and it worked great... i can't recall the model number of the gateways.  However, i also used it in a poweredge 1800 and it worked great there as well.  i suspect as long as you have the pci 1x with the windows seven operating system you should be good.

Question 10

I have a Dell Vostro 470 with onboard power supply of 350 Watts. This card recommends 400 Watts minimum. The computer has the original hard drive and an external USB drive but no other added hardware. Will this graphics card work without upgrading the power supply?

This is a low power card, I am using it on a small form factor  IBM Thinkcentre M55 with 225w commercial use power supply, there was no option to put a larger standard larger power supply, that's why I chose this card,  but using such a small supply would not be recommended by card manufacturer.
note that I have on-board graphics disabled in BIOS.
