Question 1

My son has been using this video card with no problem with an Intel i3 processor, Socket 1156 - Intel H55 - GA-H55M-S2V (rev. 1.4) motherboard, 2x2GB RAM.  We upgraded his computer to an Intel Core i7 875k unlocked processor (which is compatible with his motherboard), 2x4GB G.Skill ripjaws RAM (also compatible), and everything boots up but his graphics card is now not detected.  Any suggestions on what the problem is and how we can fix it?

How do we do that?  Someone else had told me to go into BIOS and try changing the primary video to PCI, PCI-E or PEG.  I tried all three and it remains the same, using the monitor graphics.  My son ran a speccy summary and it shows "Graphics:  Monitor," as shown below.

Depends on how old the motherboard is. This is a PCI Express 3.0 card, I do know that it works wonderfully in my PCI Express 2.0 motherboard, but it was purchased at the same time as the graphics card.

So if it is about 6 months to a year old should work fine. But I am not an expert on pre made systems.

Hello, I was wondering if the SAMSUNG C150 Series S22C150N Glossy Black 21.5" 5ms (GTG) Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor 200 cd/m2 Mega Infinite worked with this monitor and if the GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3P AM3+/AM3 AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard also worked because I have already purchased these parts and everything is running except the monitor doesn't start up with anything and I wasn't sure why?
