Does this help w any pet issues?

The foam pre-filter catches a lot of large stuff (much like the foam filter in a window air conditioner), so it probably would help with pet hair and dander. The main electrostatic "HEPA-type" filters seem to do little or nothing. Washing them in the sink after six weeks of use showed no signs of dirt or debris in the water. It was the same for all three of these that I bought. Also seems to have no effect on odors, if that's what you're looking for.
