Question 1

Should I get the ZBook 8 G2i with the Core Ultra X7 358H or step up to the X9 388H?

Accepted Answer

This X7 358H configuration is a strong fit when you want 64GB memory, a 1TB SSD, and Intel Arc B390 graphics in a 14-inch workstation. The X9 388H is the step-up option for workloads where the higher listed maximum CPU frequency—up to 5.1 GHz versus up to 4.8 GHz on the X7 358H—is a priority; HP lists both processors with 16 cores and Arc B390 graphics.

Question 2

Should I choose the 14-inch ZBook 8 G2i or the 16-inch version?

Accepted Answer

Choose this 14-inch ZBook 8 G2i for a smaller-screen workstation format with a 1920 × 1200 touchscreen. Choose a 16-inch ZBook 8 G2i configuration when a larger display area is the priority; check that model’s individual display and memory specifications because options vary by configuration.

Question 3

Is the 64GB ZBook 8 G2i worth choosing over the 32GB configuration?

Accepted Answer

Choose this 64GB configuration for larger working sets, heavier multitasking, or memory-intensive professional projects. The 32GB configuration is a practical alternative for workflows that fit comfortably within 32GB; both can be configured with a 14-inch WUXGA display, while this model pairs 64GB RAM with a 1TB SSD and Core Ultra X7 358H.

Question 4

ZBook 8 G2i or ZBook 8 G1i: which generation should I choose?

Accepted Answer

Choose the ZBook 8 G2i for a current-generation 14-inch configuration with the Core Ultra X7 358H, Arc B390 graphics, Wi-Fi 7, and 64GB memory. The G1i is the previous generation in HP’s ZBook 8 line; compare its specific processor, display, memory, and connectivity configuration with the G2i before deciding.
