How does this attach to a VESA arm mount?  I don't see a plate on the back to attach to.

Unfortunately, they don't, to my knowledge. The telltale four screw holes in the back of the device are missing here, so I don't think it is VESA compatible.

HDMI input to the monitor but does not come with the cable and it does have monitor speakers.

This particular monitor has a stand that snaps into the bottom portion of the bezel. Unfortunately, there is no mountable surface on the back of what has otherwise been a great monitor for me (currently using a triple-monitor setup).
