It has one PCI-E X16 slot, and remember that this is a SFF and will only take low-profile cards. Video cards are limited by the small 240w power supply, check before you buy.  Just google this, it will tell you everything about this computer......

Will this work with our monitor ? Is it vga or hdmi

Mine came with VGA and Display Port input options.  Display Port is a standard that allows for HDMI input with an adapter and allows for 1920 X 1080 resolution (if your monitor is large enough).  So the answer is not directly but an adapter can be purchased right on this site to allow the use of an HDMI equipped monitor.

Supports up to 16GB un-buffered non-ECC DDR3 SDRAM.
