i have a 
Brand	Biostar
Model	TA890GXE 
max ram is 16gigs it has 4x dimms ddr3 sdram. i bought 1 kit Kingston HyperX 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model KHX1600C9D3K2/8GX
which is compatible for the above mother board. it will give me 8 gigs of ram. will i be able to get another kit of the same type to put in the other 2 dim slots with out any comflicks between the 4 dimm slots?

It is possible but not recommended.  The only way it's even possible is if the motherboard has dual channels and keep each pair of RAM sticks in the same channel.  Even then, your hardware may not be running optimally or problem-free.  It's always best to buy RAM sticks for the number of slots you need since they're all usually tested together.

Question 2

will this ram work in my gateway sx2185 it takes ddr3 1600 mhz 240 pin 1.5v ram just dont know if this would be compatible with the existing 4 gig stick i already have?

The answer is yes it will work. Will your system be stable, maybe not. Since you have 6 dims it is ideally suited for 3 pairs of 2GB sticks based on the 12GB max. If you are shooting for super stable, you will want all the memory to have the same timing. This memory has 9-9-9-27 at 1.65V but I can't confirm what the one 4GB stick is in your PC. If it is a good deal on price buy it and worst case toss your old 4GB in a drawer. It will still be an upgrade. If you are going to attempt to run triple channel which the board would appear to support you would want 3 of the same chip and therefore need to purchase one more of these if these two and your existing stick aren't stable running together. PS tripple channel in this type of board would tipically be installed in dims 1-3-5 ie all the dame color in the primary dim slots.

Question 3

Is this memory compatible with LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX boards? I specifically have an EVGA E758-TR board

It seems that it would. That board looks to support DDR3 1600 in dual channel mode. It seems that that board would be more suited for a triple channel memory setup but EVGA's support page seems to elude to it supporting dual channel mode.

Question 4

I have this memory (2x4gb) I want to add an additional 2 sticks, can I use the recommended similar memory sticks , mixed with these?

I don'know why not.  I used two of these memory sticks in me build, but as long as the stick fits the mother board it should work.  I have not mixed sticks, but I have up graded where I replaced existing sticks with others with more memory.  I don't know if using sticks with different memory levels - ex 4 gig with 8 gig for 12 gigs - is a problem like it is with hard drives. (500gig HD w/ 750gig = two @ 500 gigs).  The important thing  is that the be the same type.

Question 5

i was going to swap out motherboards and processors but still use this ram, it would be in an asus maximus vii hero mobo with an intel i7 4790k 4.0 proccessor, on pcpartpicker it said that the voltage is above the recomended 1.5 v can i still use this or can i adjust the voltage in my bios?

The voltage is necessary for these sticks to run at their designated XMP profile. 1.5 V is a bit high, and can wreck some motherboards, so if you want to take that chance, go for it. Otherwise find a different motherboard that is made for serious overclocking, or simply change to a diffrent model/vendor of ram (there are 10-20 brands and models OTHER than this hyperX, and many run on lower volts)

Question 6

These Genesis DIMMS are now discontinued :(

Can  the Kingston HyperX Savage or Beast line be used to pair up with these? I have 8gb of these Genesis, but want to go up to 16gb.

As long as the specs are similar then you shouldnt have an issue. I have 16gb of this ram. All the same with no issues.
