I didn't crack the case open to verify, and there was no real documentation as far as internal components. It has an intel dual core i3 530 prossesor. Other than that its a work computer for my father in-law and it's been doing the job he needs it for just fine so far. I don't have immediate access to it though to verify anything beyond the limited documentation and what i remember when setting it up.

what type of connectors are on the motherboard, like can you add a ssd and does it have 6/gbps connections on for newer ssd's?

It appears there are 4 SATA ports on the Mobo and it supports both SATA 1.5-GB/s and 3.0-GB.  If you were to purchase an SSD it would be significantly faster, but you would not be able to take the full advantage of the hard drive performance.
